Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Maryland, Chris Wagner was a Maryland boy at heart, with dreams of playing football for the University of Maryland. That is, until a conversation with Ted Kinskey, running back coach at the University of Delaware, planted the idea of becoming a Blue Hen in Chris’ mind. Wagner went on to play football for the University of Delaware, playing under college Hall of Famer Harold R. “Tubby” Raymond, who was the head coach at the time.
